Birth

A doula is a trained non-medical professional who provides continuous emotional, mental, physical, spiritual, and informational support to a family throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. As a life cycle facilitator, I'm committed to journeying with families throughout all reproductive experiences and outcomes including fertility, abortion, miscarriage, stillbirth, and loss.

Within my practice, I honor the whole person while supporting their chosen loved ones. I want birth to be an empowering experience for the birthing person and a gentle introduction to the physical world for the tiny human.

Services Available

360 Care

Full circle care emphasizes the importance of continuous care to pregnant families as they prepare for a new addition. Two prenatal appointments, continuous labor/birth support, and two postpartum visits are included within full circle care. Additionally, clients will receive a personalized welcome kit that includes the Unearthing Tradition Birth Prep Workbook.

To encourage relationship building between the doula and family and allow the time necessary to help prepare for your desired birth experience, 360° care is most ideal for clients who are between 12 and 27 weeks gestation.

Placenta Encapsulation

As a baby's life sustaining organ, the placenta  is revered within many cultures. While some parents choose to honor the placenta in ritual and ceremony, other birthing people consume it within the postpartum period for additional benefits. I provide encapsulation services to meet your postpartum needs.

Abortion Care

Abortion is a healthcare decision between you, your provider and anyone else you choose to invite into this state of vulnerability. You should not have to navigate this alone. As an abortion doula, I offer donation based services in support of the logistical, emotional, and spiritual process of deciding whether or not to have an abortion.

Loss & Bereavement Support

Far too many birthing people experience loss for this reality to be overlooked and the conversation to be taboo. I utilize various healing modalities to support a family in experiencing loss and navigating pregnancy after loss.

Lactation Education

Body feeding is an incredibly beautiful process, but it can also be isolating and challenging. I offer 1-1 and group lactation education services to create a foundation of knowledge that will support community building and empower you to reach your breastfeeding goals.

What People Are Saying

"We would not have had the birth experience we wanted without the knowledge, support, and encouragement of Briana. She went above and beyond to ensure we felt empowered and informed during all stages of pregnancy, labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery. We are so grateful for her guidance and partnership through this incredible experience."

— Former Client

"Briana was very in tune with me and my needs during labor. She knew when to jump in and help me relax during my contractions and she knew when to let me have my own space. Thank you!"

— Former client

"I really cannot picture the pregnancy without Bree's passionate support. On the day of active labor, Bree's loving energy surrounded me. My doula provided a hand to hold (and squeeze who knows how hard), guidance to keep me breathing and relaxed, counterpressure and massage during my contraction waves, essential oils to calm my nausea, and a soothing voice to keep me focused. I've been blessed with a doula I can now call a good friend; a friend who helped bring my precious Zion into the world."
