Through Their Eyes: Seeds of Culture W/ kuwa jasiri Indomela

A life cycle facilitator's viewpoint is informed by the families we serve, the care teams we interact with, and the larger dynamics of our sociopolitical climate. Deeply Rooted is a platform for life cycle facilitators at the beginning and end of life from around the world to share experiences, “Through Their Eyes". This time we’re going to New Mexico.

kuwa jasiri (first name) is the founding steward of Authentic Creations Artistic Apothecary, where we offer birth teams, spiritual support and herbal hormone therapy to genderqueer People Of Culture (of Colour) growing their families. Over the last decade our grassroots collective care prioritizes mental health, spiritual wellness, ancestral wisdom and zero waste practices. As a intersex, genderqueer, polysexual, Ghanaian, Cuban, Spanish, Zulu, Creole descendant beauty is immersed in bringing one's culture and spirituality back to the process of growing families.
